Introduction to Immersive VR Education
Immersive VR Education is firstly developed in the tech hub of Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland as a startup. The company founded in 2014 by David Whelan to build a platform for educators to create immersive lectures through Virtual Reality technology. The company first entered the market with Apollo 11 VR, a game that users can experience the moon-landing through the eyes of who were there. The game was mostly funded by a Kickstarter campaign at the time and now available online on various platforms for various VR devices.
After the commercial success and receiving multiple awards for Apollo 11 Immersive VR Education launches their next project: ENGAGE in August 2016.
